CULTURE AND SNACKS: THE DIVERSITY THAT UNITES US

There is nothing better to start the morning than being surrounded by people to share experiences and concerns while enjoying a delicious and varied breakfast.
The smell of freshly brewed coffee will fill the morning as we introduce you to the guest speakers. In bites, We will enjoy our toast and sip by sip we will discover and discuss together, how culture can open doors and windows to diversity and integration.

The table will feature:

Braulio Betancort Tejera : Speaker, Lanzarote-born author and protagonist of the comic 'This is Braulio' and the book 'Braulio'. La historia de superación de un Síndrome de Down” obras que narran su propia historia personal . A través de sus páginas y conferencias, acerca la diversidad funcional a la ciudadanía, especialmente a los Centros Educativos. Su libro es, in addition, solidario cuyos beneficios se donan a las asociaciones AFOL y Creciendo Yaiza.

Cesar Bona: Maestro, escritor y conferenciante y gran defensor de los derechos de la infancia, considerado como uno de los cincuenta mejores maestros del mundo según el Global Teacher Prize, Considera esencial el compromiso social y con la naturaleza como parte de la educación integral del ser humano y es autor de obras como “Las Escuelas que Cambian el Mundo” o “Educación Sostenible” con los que nos invita a repensar el sistema de educación actual.

Guio Santana: Artista lanzaroteña que a través del abstracto de sus lienzos en acrílico o sus esculturas abren una puerta a las texturas, la innovación y el reciclaje, inspirándose, among others, en el paisaje y las tradiciones de su isla. Sus obras visibilizan además, a la comunidad sorda y sus logros. Actualmente se puede visitar su exposición “El arte nace con total libertad” en el Convento de Santo Domingo, Teguise.

Ligia Molnar: Creciendo Yaiza. Desde julio de 2013, The Creciendo Yaiza association focuses its efforts on achieving real diversity inclusion, according to the association itself, inclusion is both necessary and possible. Among its services, they offer family counseling, therapies to improve quality of life, and recreational activities, sports and leisure activities aimed at raising awareness, informing and integrating people with special educational needs or disabilities.

Lucia Gómez Domínguez, vice president of the SentirTEA Association. In difference lies EQUALITY, we are all unique and UNREPEATABLE. This is the motto of the non-profit SentirTEA association, an island-based association that provides employment, apoyo y servicios para mejorar la vida de las personas con Trastorno de Aspectro Autista y a sus familias en cualquier área y etapa de su vida infantil y juvenil.
