Heart consolidates in Playa Honda with its most sustainable edition

Saint Barthélemy, 21 October 2024. Last Friday and Saturday, the avenue of Playa Honda vibrated to the rhythm of laughter, Percussion and applause. He did it with an audience that, excited, he did not want to miss a detail of Heart, The Performing Arts Festival for all audiences that consolidates and focuses on sustainability, Inclusion and respect.

A sustainable festival in the broad sense

In Heart, The shows have been held with zero emissions. In addition,This edition has been 100% self-sufficient, thanks to the use of photovoltaic panels to power the generator battery. And, in pursuit of energy saving and community well-being, It has been held during daytime hours.

Likewise, Inclusion has once again been very present, not only through the shows themselves, but with the participation, also, of the Signalanz team for sign interpretation. In addition, citizens have been involved in the decoration of the pergolas on Playa Honda Avenue, through participatory workshops.

A first-class line-up and a dedicated audience, that is already waiting for the next edition

On an unusually windy Friday afternoon for the time of year, kicked off Cuerpo Teatro. With his work “Scales”, The company made the public feel like the protagonist and the only existing being, received individually behind the curtain. Next, Mireia Miracle flooded the space with rebellion “Sebadal”. With his show “Dream”, Children and adults enjoyed an interesting proposal of gestural theater, clown, Dance and own music. A mischievous show in which paint and color abounded as a way of breaking with the established.

And precisely the colorful athletes of Nacho Villar were presented – Yllana, with his work “Olympics”. This quartet, unable to qualify for the Olympics, He made the audience cry with laughter with a whole compendium of crazy and surreal situations. Then, it was the turn of Mario Ezno and his puppet Manolo Bolaño. Together, thrilled again with a puppet show that has already been performed by 40 countries and hundreds of cities, fulfilling the artist's dream.

The finishing touch of the first day was put by Mr. Copini and his “Walo World”, with which those present were able to immerse themselves in a clown show that would forever transform their perspective of the world. And it was not the only opportunity to enjoy this award-winning artist and his impressive staging. On Saturday the party continued with “The Herock”, An epic show in which this rock hero made the senses of the audience tremble with his thunderous show, putting the final note to the festival.

Getting fully into this second day of leisure for the whole family, Impossible Entropies brought the millenary Japanese art Kamishibai to Lanzarote. First, in the form of a workshop and, in the afternoon, as a storyteller. An enjoyable and fun way to transmit knowledge, managing to capture the attention of the public of all ages.

Another memorable moment of this very familiar weekend was marked by QB Cube School. Under his direction, the boys and girls of the coles of the municipality made the avenue of Playa Honda vibrate and the public with their Pum Pum Heart.

And when it seemed that nothing else could surprise, on Saturday afternoon Adrián Conde arrived with his juggling, Magic and clown, creating a unique experience and provoking contagious laughter with its “Intrigues”. Then it was the turn of the “Astronauts” of Satellite Theatre. This inclusive company from Tenerife was in charge of guiding the public in a very close and special parade, that gave way to “Feathers”. A dance show in which the members of the El Jablero company knew how to skillfully show the similarities between the chicken and the woman.

To complete the experience, the Callao and Tamboril Pergolas became spaces for experimentation, welcome to art and music. There, there were many curious people who dared to play the drums with Elio Pérez and the piano, by the hand of Laila Farhang.

With a record attendance and the participation of companies of recognized prestige at a national and international level, Heart closes an edition in which “The atmosphere has been marked by the Multiculturalism, the respect and dedication of the public.
